Head of Programmes
Since our inception in 2015 in Denmark, Liva has been a pioneer in the field of digital behaviour change. Our ambition is to empower 1 million people by 2030 to improve their health and well-being by preventing and managing chronic conditions through digitally powered, evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
Headquartered in Copenhagen and London, our collaborations with healthcare systems - including the NHS, life science companies and health insurers - allow us to impact lives at scale. We recently acquired Momenta, a leading developer and provider of evidence-based, outcome-driven, healthy lifestyle solutions that help people negotiate the many day-to-day challenges they face in living healthier lives, with a focus on weight management.
About the role
Most digital health programmes are built one contract at a time. We want to design ours once, properly, and deploy them everywhere: across the NHS, across four European countries, and on our platform for clients who run their own services.
You will be the chief architect of our cardiometabolic programmes, covering obesity, type 2 diabetes prevention and remission, and related long-term conditions. Medicated weight management is a major and fast-growing part of that. This is a new seat. You will shape it and build the function around it.
What you’ll be doing
Design the pathways. Turn clinical evidence and national guidance into digital care pathways, deciding which steps need a prescriber, dietitian or coach and which can be delivered by content or automation. This is what lets us scale without losing safety.
Lead medicated weight management design. From screening to planned discontinuation, so patients stay on treatment, eat well, keep muscle and keep the weight off afterwards.
Own engagement. Design how patients start, stay and come back, because outcomes depend on it.
Set the rules for AI coaching. Shape how our conversational tools behave, and make sure clinical questions always reach a clinician.
Build blueprints clients can buy. Create standard pathway models that get new clients live fast, without bespoke builds.
Prove it works. Define the outcomes data that shows commissioners and clients the value of what we deliver.
What you’ll have
A clinical background; you are, or have been, registered with a UK or EU regulator (HCPC, GMC, NMC or GPhC). The role signs off clinical design, so this is essential, although you do not need to be practising now.
Senior experience in obesity and type 2 diabetes care, ideally medicated weight management pathways.
A record of designing end-to-end care pathways in remote or digital settings, deciding who does what and how it is delivered.
Applied behaviour change expertise, with data showing what it achieved.
Experience leading specialists and influencing product, engineering and commercial teams.
Bonus: behavioural science or psychology training, SaaS health-tech experience, or AI coaching governance.
What you’ll get
Scale. Your designs will reach thousands of patients across the UK and Europe, and clients who license our platform.
Influence over delivery and product. Working closely with key stakeholders internally and externally to determine how we build and what we build to meet the needs of our clients and patients.
A seat close to the decisions. You will report to the VP Operations and present to the executive team.
A team to build. You will lead content and behavioural specialists and grow the function as we grow.

Make a difference
At Liva, we do not go to work just to work. We are a purpose-driven company, and we go to work every day to help people live better lives. Our purpose is in our DNA, and it is important that this is also a driver for you. -
Flexible work hours and locations
We value the health of our employees, and it all starts with a healthy work/life balance. We will put in the extra effort when needed, but we also know the importance of recharging your batteries and spending time on your priorities outside work. We are flexible when it comes to working from home, but we also expect that you will prioritise to come to the office and contribute to the company culture. -
Your colleagues
We are an ambitious bunch of people, and we work hard to achieve our goals - but we do not want colleagues with sharp elbows competing internally instead of working as a team. -
Personal growth
If you have the passion, skills, empathy, and enthusiasm to drive things forward, this is more important to us than formal education. We believe in personal growth and to give people the chance of growing into new areas of expertise if they have the drive and talent to do so.
