Health Coach Supervisor - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Since our inception in 2015 in Denmark, Liva has been a pioneer in the field of digital behaviour change. Our ambition is to empower 1 million people by 2030 to improve their health and well-being by preventing and managing chronic conditions through digitally-powered, evidence-based lifestyle interventions.
Headquartered in Copenhagen and London, our collaborations with healthcare systems - including the NHS, life science companies and health insurers - allow us to impact lives at scale. We recently acquired Momenta, a leading developer and provider of evidence-based, outcome driven, healthy lifestyle solutions that help people negotiate the many day-to-day challenges they face in living healthier lives, with a focus on weight management.
We’ve big ambitions this year and, to help us achieve these we’re scaling our coaching team to support a range of healthcare programmes in the UK. To protect and elevate our delivery standards as we grow, we are looking for two Health Coach Supervisors to join our team.
What you’ll be doing
This is a dual-focus role designed for practitioners who want to develop their management careers without losing touch with patient impact.
You will spend 50% of your week managing your own caseload of complex participants, modelling "gold-standard" delivery through our digital platform. The remaining 50% of your time will be spent supervising, mentoring, and auditing a dedicated small team of coaches (which may include a mix of employed team members and freelance associates).
Because high-quality clinical governance is at the heart of our NHS partnerships, this role requires regular travel across 13 UK regions to conduct in-person delivery observations, shadow new starters, and ensure absolute compliance with our clinical protocols.
Clinical Quality Assurance (60%): Lead Liva’s formal quality assurance framework for your team. You will observe live sessions, review clinical notes, evaluate asynchronous video check-ins, and deliver structured, evidence-based feedback.
Person-Centered Coaching (30-40%): Maintain your own active coaching practice, utilising advanced behaviour change techniques to support participants managing Type 2 Diabetes and complex comorbidities.
Line Management & Mentorship: Conduct structured monthly 1:1s and formal quarterly performance reviews for employed team members, addressing capability concerns and driving professional development plans.
Operational Coordination: Serve as the primary escalation point for complex clinical risks or safeguarding incidents, and lead caseload re-allocations smoothly when operational demands shift.
On-the-Ground Governance: Travel across UK regions to observe live sessions, facilitate onboarding sign-offs, and provide quality assurance feedback to in-person delivery coaches.
You’ll have:
A degree in a health-related field AND maintain an active registration with a relevant UK body, eg as a Registered Dietitian (HCPC) or Registered Nutritionist (ANutr/RNutr) (Highest Priority).
Experience in a supervisory, line management, or clinical leadership role, with a track record of conducting formal quality assessments or performance reviews.
Expert-level health coaching skills, with deep practical experience in motivational interviewing and behaviour change.
Exceptional organisation skills, who can rigorously balance coaching targets with management deadlines.
Tech skills, you can effortlessly navigate complex digital dashboards, electronic medical records, and team communication tools like Slack.
A valid driving license and the flexibility to travel regularly for regional in-person observations.
You’ll Get:
Flexible Remote Base: Enjoy the comfort of working from home for your core digital coaching, administrative, and meeting blocks.
Peer Support Network: You’ll collaborate closely with our Senior Health Coaches (who facilitate peer support sessions) and report directly to the Coach Manager, giving you a tight-knit support network.
Continuous Learning: We believe in clinical excellence. You will receive programme-specific training, a thorough induction, and continuous access to up-to-date resources to keep your skills sharp.
Impact at Scale: Drive the quality standards behind public health programs, making a measurable difference to thousands of lives.
Structured Growth: A clear pathway that separates coaching expertise (Senior Coach track) from supervision and management (Supervisor track).
Innovation: Shape the future of digital healthcare by blending human empathy with data-driven clinical protocols.

Make a difference
At Liva, we do not go to work just to work. We are a purpose-driven company, and we go to work every day to help people live better lives. Our purpose is in our DNA, and it is important that this is also a driver for you. -
Flexible work hours and locations
We value the health of our employees, and it all starts with a healthy work/life balance. We will put in the extra effort when needed, but we also know the importance of recharging your batteries and spending time on your priorities outside work. We are flexible when it comes to working from home, but we also expect that you will prioritise to come to the office and contribute to the company culture. -
Your colleagues
We are an ambitious bunch of people, and we work hard to achieve our goals - but we do not want colleagues with sharp elbows competing internally instead of working as a team. -
Personal growth
If you have the passion, skills, empathy, and enthusiasm to drive things forward, this is more important to us than formal education. We believe in personal growth and to give people the chance of growing into new areas of expertise if they have the drive and talent to do so.
